Meet Candace Darby

I am passionate about helping people find their best life!

My passion has always been human beings and their development.  From my history as a member of Screen Actors Guild,  being a part of several Los Angeles theatre companies, working as a television talk show host to my graduate studies and work as a mental health counselor/clinician and Integrative health coach, my path and goal in life is to enlighten people, to reach them, to help them feel like they are not alone in their struggles and that there is a path to a better life!  I inherently  believe that every person has the right to be fully engaged in their life and find inner peace.

I work with an introspective and holistic approach using cognitive behavioral, mindfulness and integrative theories.  Our thoughts, behaviors, patterns and views of the world are a product of our upbringing, experiences, environment and the people we choose to spend time with. This affects how we function in the world, experience joy, pain and fullfillment as well as how we handle crisis and the tough stuff. We all have pain, this is when we grow.  Life is not what happens to us, it is how we handle what happens to us that creates your destiny.  We have a choice In this life. I will assist you to unravel old messages, uncover old habits, patterns and blocks that are standing in our way from being your Best Self!

I also work with individuals on their  lifestyle through diet, exercise, self care and coaching you to balance your life in order to live more presently.

We all deserve to have the BEST LIFE POSSIBLE! We can all strive for this... The FIRST STEP is deciding you want this and that you will work towards this.. This should be prioritized! This is all in our reach!

You and only you can change and take charge of your own life!

This is the reason why I am working on several different programs that will give you tools to implement on your own so you can, in fact, change the trajectory of your life!

One minute, you’re staring at a plate full of salad… the next, you’re hiding in the pantry scarfing down a box of donuts.

Do you feel like you know what you need to do to be healthy, but you can’t seem to follow through and you aren’t sure why?

I have stood exactly where you’re standing, and I 100% understand.

Wouldn’t it be nice if you could balance your relationship with food from bumpy to guilt-free, healthy for good, and enjoyable?

Eating with Intention is here to help you do just that.

Food is supposed to nourish and fuel your body, not to make you feel out of control and take away from you.

Are you finally ready to achieve the level of health that you’ve desired? Are you ready to ditch the road you’re on that’s leaving you unfulfilled, exhausted and feeling less than amazing?

Hi, my name is Candace Darby, a Health Coach and Mental Health counselor. In this four week program, you will create new healthy habits and design a brand new way of looking at yourself and the food that you eat. While tearing down your old, harmful habits, you will dig deep to make small changes to help you reach your goals.

You will create a personalized plan of action that is realistic and achievable for you and your lifestyle. Track your progress with weekly sessions, worksheets, journals and educational information that will be sent each of the four weeks. Each session will challenge you to implement small changes over time, which is far more beneficial than trying to do it all at once.

Your session includes:

  • Weekly sessions delivered to your inbox immediately

  • A food journal to help you keep track of the foods you eat

  • Gratitude journal to help you get in the right mindset

  • Learning about food freedom and your motivations behind wellness

  • Tapping in and listening to what your body is asking for

  • Evaluating your triggers and digging deeper

  • Slowing down and connecting

This is the best $29 you will invest in yourself!

What people are saying about Eating With Intention

Before Eating with Intention, I was feeling like I needed to get more disciplined in my life. Although I try to eat healthy, exercise daily, and keep a positive attitude, I tend to get a little lax at times. Nice reminder to do all of them and on a daily basis. Now, when I am at work, I fill my water glass before bringing in every client. At home, I filled my water pitcher and put in a couple of cucumber slices.

I enjoyed reading what the other ladies in Eating with Intention were doing.  I think that being part of a group not only motivates you, but  you can also get ideas of things that are working for other people.
— Mary Ellen Bennett, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice in San Diego, CA

I really enjoyed the eating with intention group. The recipes were simple and easy to follow, which simplified my life a little.

Prior to eating with intention, I was starting to feel down on myself, because I didn’t have the time and energy to enjoy healthy meals. Now that I am having the healthy shakes in the morning, I feel better about myself and my energy has increased. What I enjoyed the most is how simple the shakes were to make. Most of the shakes have 4 to 5 simple ingredients, making them easy to remember how to make.

Knowing that we are not alone when faced with challenges and finding support in others helps us build our own self-confidence to be able to accomplish our goals.
— Delia Gallegos, BSN, RN DNP FNP Student

I enjoy reading Candace’s motivating words and trying out the delicious recipes!

In a world that is so busy and fast-paced, Candace’s words remind me to take some time to reflect and be mindful.

Hoping for many more years to travel! The more carefully I eat, I know the farther I will go!
